Researches have concluded that vegetarians are less likely to develop heart condition, arterial hypertension or strokes, but they are not protected against them. Vegetarians are considered in some way protected against obesity and high cholesterol because they do not consume fats almost at all.
Also, these types of alimentation can diminish the risk of certain types of cancer, like colon cancer and breast cancer. All these facts about vegetarians does not make their lifestyle flawless. It’s a known fact that living healthy means living with moderation, not with prohibitions.
Since so many people today experience weight problems, they all want to encounter the best fat loss secrets, and because the vegetarian diet seems so healthy and convincing, they are inclined to go for it. True vegetarian do not only eat vegetables, but also exercise. This means they are living a more healthy life. If you want a vegetarian diet to be balanced, you will have to exclude only a few aliments and not aliments from a certain food group, as most vegetarians do. But since the vegetarians tend to almost always avoid animal-based products, they are doomed to have an unbalanced diet no matter what they try.
Respectable nutritional studies that were conducted on vegetarians show that this group of people must be lacking certain vital aliments, since they all have major deficits of iron, zinc, calcium and vitamin D, deficits which will later cause problems.
The truth is that vegetarians are a group of people who don’t actually lead the healthy life they believe they lead. It doesn’t really matter that they have big meals which will make they feel full, because their inner organs are not fed the nutrients that are required. The thin tissue that surrounds cells will lose it’s protein composition in time and the bone density will decrease. The lack of calcium can cause the installation of osteoporosis, which is a serious and irreversible condition that can lead to bone fractures and immobility.
Good diets will never be following an example from exclusive diets like the vegetarian one. The right diets are the ones based on moderations and quality, not those based on exclusion or starvation. Even if a vegetarian is thinner than the average person and usually is busier, seeming to have an active life, it doesn’t mean that he is as healthy as a person who eats moderately everything.
